Recall what Sartre said about the concept of human nature being used as an excuse. Can you think of an example of a situation where someone used the concept of human nature as an excuse in a way described in the lecture? Perhaps they did it to get away with something they shouldn’t have done, or just to not feel bad about something. This can be someone you know, or some public figure you know of, or even a fictional character. Describe the situation and explain how the person in question and explain why the use of the concept of human nature was wrong. If you want, please share your observations on social media – remember to tag @EdiPhilOnline and post under #ktmooc!
Now for the harder question: think of a situation when you used the concept of human nature as an excuse. You don’t need to write anything if you don’t want to, and you certainly don’t have to post anything on social media. We will not read your answer. This is purely for your reflection.
